Dr. Sarah Timm, BVMS
VETERINARIAN & PRACTICE OWNER
DICKINSON COLLEGE, BS 2008
UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW VET SCHOOL, BVMS 2013Dr. Timm attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where she double majored in Biochemistry and History. After graduation, Dr. Timm moved to Glasgow, Scotland to attend the University of Glasgow Veterinary School, where she only broadened her love of animals and decided to pursue a career in mixed practice veterinary medicine. Dr. Timm has been practicing at Roxbury Animal Clinic since graduating veterinary school in 2013 and purchased the practice from Dr. Carlson in 2021, with plans to expand the hospital to better serve the growing needs of the surrounding communities. Dr. Timm lives in Bridgewater, CT with her husband Nate and their three dogs Boo, Ginger & Theo and a singular but sassy cat named Harper.

Dr. Chanin Miller, DVM

UNIV. OF TENNESSEE VETERINARY SCHOOL, DVM 2012Dr. Miller is originally from Long Island, where she grew up shadowing at her local veterinary clinic. She moved south for college and veterinary school but returned to the northeast to practice after graduation in 2012, when she came to work for Dr. Elwell in Roxbury. Dr. Miller lives in Bridgewater, CT with her boyfriend Corey and their three German Shepherds, Nisa, Leddo & Klaus.

Dr. Devon Gilliam, DVM
ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

UNIV. OF WISCONSIN-MADISON VETERINARY SCHOOL, DVM 2021Dr. Gilliam is originally from Redding, CT and attended college locally in New Haven at Albertus Magnus College where she played softball. While attending college, Dr. Gilliam decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and began shadowing at RAC as a student extern. After a move to Wisconsin and back again, Dr. Gilliam joined the practice as a full time veterinarian in 2021. She lives in Roxbury with her husband Matt and their cat Eleanor and their dog Madison.

Dr. Zachary Collette, DVM
UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT, BS 2019
ST. GEORGE’S UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, DVM 2023Dr. Collette grew up in Roxbury, CT, where he attended the Shepaug Valley School. He then completed a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science at UCONN and then moved to Grenada to attend the AVMA-accredited St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, with his clinical 4th year at the University of Georgia Veterinary School. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023 and he brings strong interests in farm animal, equine and small animal medicine, and received unique training through his experiences in the Caribbean. Dr. Collette and his wife Emma have one dog, named Kota (pictured here!), who they rescued while living in Grenada.

Dr. Mark Carlson, DVM
ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

PURDUE UNIVERSITY VETERINARY SCHOOL, DVM 1988Dr. Carlson is a native of Watertown, CT and grew up shadowing veterinarians in the area. He returned to Litchfield County after graduating from veterinary school and has been practicing mixed animal veterinary medicine in the area for the past 30+ years. He worked for Dr. Paul Elwell in Roxbury from the 1980s until 2014 when he purchased the practice from Dr. Elwell and transitioned it to the current location in the Roxbury Station area. In 2021, he sold the practice to Dr. Timm and in 2023, transitioned to part-time work. He can be found at the clinic most Mondays and Wednesdays and is available for appointments in the office and farm calls. Dr. Carlson lives in Bridgewater, CT with his wife Karen, their two dogs Honey & Beau, and several cats.
